Cocoon Crèche is an early childhood care and education programme run by SEWAC-B since 1973 for children under 3 years of age.
Creches enable women to take up employment. The children at the SEWAC-B creche come from disadvantaged sections of society. Most of their mothers work as domestic workers, construction workers, petty shop owners and some maybe just ailing mothers unable to take care of their children.
This programme is run for the children of working mothers. The scheme is being implemented through the Karnataka Social Welfare Board.
At present 30 children from Guddadahalli area in Bangalore, Karnataka attend the crèche regularly.
Our Creche takes care of preschool education, nutrition, and the health of its children in a safe, secure and loving environment. We provide children with a happy, healthy, secure and nurturing environment to flourish.
Our mission is to support the development of children from low-income families by providing a safe, healthy, and caring environment. We promote discipline, hygiene, punctuality, and regular attendance in crèches, along with fostering social skills and improving nutritional standards through supplementary nutritious food.

To organize awareness and training programs for mothers in the area of maternal and child health, nutrition and childcare techniques.
To allow the older children in the family to go to school instead of caring for the younger siblings.
SEWAC-B provides many Learning aids - Fixing blocks, stringing beads, balls, dolls, kitchen set, doctor set, sports kit, games and more. They play and learn songs, rhymes, dances.
The children are taught general socializing, good manners, cleanliness, hygiene, discipline.
Milk with protein supplements in the morning and lunch in the afternoon
All crèche children undergo regular medical and dental check-up by registered doctors. The Doctor visits the Creche twice a year to check the general health of children. Vitamins or supplements are provided to the kids according to his prescription.
SEWAC-B employs a qualified Supervisor and helper to run this programme.
We are equipped with a first aid and medical kit.
Periodic interactions are held with parents and families of children.
