SEWAC – UNNATI
SEWAC – UNNATI – Skill development programme
SEWAC runs a training programme with UNNATI to train female candidates in the age group of 18-50 years in computer skills, spoken English and personality development. Placement is guaranteed on successful completion of the programme. 15 batches of students have been trained and placed so far.
Guddadahalli community, though socially and economically backward, is an aspirational society. The women of the area are enterprising and intelligent with a deep desire to empower themselves. They felt that their prospects were being obstructed because they could not communicate in English. SEWAC-B decided to tackle this need with UNNATI’s training programme.
The training takes place in the SEWAC-B premises from 9 AM to 1 PM and each batch runs for 35 days on working days, comprising of 10 to 12 women.
The Course Curriculum
The Center covers a wide variety of topics to prepare women with specialized skills. The course curriculum includes:
Meditation
Spoken English
Oral Communication Skill Enhancement, Comprehending & Paraphrasing, Language Etiquette & Mannerism, Handling customer queries, Refusal skills, Listening skills
Life skills
Time Management, Goal setting- Make it happen, Understanding & Managing Emotions, The Power of a Positive Attitude, Making a Positive Impression, Developing Confidence in Self & others, Gender Equality & Sensitivity, Money Management, Stress Management
Computer training
Typing, WORD, EXCEL, PPT, Tally, Gmail
