SEWAC-B conducts certain programmes to impact individuals and communities to raise consciousness, self-esteem, confidence, and aspirations to change their world, and provide them the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to do so.
We have many different programs that all work in various ways to empower women and children in our community. You can read more about each program below. These programmes help to uplift the underprivileged communities through imparting various skills and training in the areas of life skills, language, homework assistance, library, and more.
We are always looking for passionate, dedicated volunteers to join our team. Please reach out if you would like to learn how to get involved with any of our programs.
Empowering women is one of our stated objectives, and these series will educate and empower people of our community. We organise a lecture cum discussion every month.
The library is well stocked with story books and other books for different age groups. It’s open every weekday in the evening.
During the evening hours, the school provides homework assistance and space for local children from class 5 to 10.
A new scholarship programme offers aid to financially backward, meritorious students after class XII for a professional course.
The summer camp is conducted typically for about two weeks during the summer months at the School campus. Children can plug into their creativity and curiosity through hands-on experiences.
SEWAC-B runs a training programme on computers and life skills in collaboration with UNNATI to train women candidates in the age group of 18-50 years.
A Mother’s camp is organised in the summers with cooking, rangoli, arts & crafts and sewing training & competitions. Counseling sessions, talks and lectures are organised on suitable subjects for women. Yoga and physical fitness classes are also held.
